We used to include the Agaves with other succulents. However the numbers kept increasing since we just can't resist them. Therefore the separate section. The Plant name provides a link to a photo. The photo is not necessarily the individual plant being sold, but illustrates the species as represented in our collection. Size refers to the current pot size. When ordering, please note the plant name, pot size and price. The [+] symbol indicates that a shipping surcharge may apply, though we reserve the right to charge extra for shipping even though the plant is not so designated. Such extra charges are always negotiated prior to sale. Thanks.

Agave celsii 'multicolor' Variegated Agave celsii - A native to cloud forests of North Central Mexico, this makes a great plant for pot culture - great on a pation for the Summer - for those areas unable to grow this outside. Hardy in zones 9 and 10. 5" $12.50

Agave filifera ssp. schidigera [+] Once considered a separate species, A. schidigera, this is very similar to the above. Both are very cold hardy, to below 20°F. It tends to be solitary and typically has longer more flexible leaves that are not thickened toward the base. It also has larger flowers. 6"  
Agave filifera ssp. schidigera 'Shira ito no ohi' "Queen of White Thread-leaf", this is a most wonderful cultivar. Stays more compact and is slow growing. Used to be offered as Agave filifera 'Compacta Marginata'. 3"

Agave guiengola 'Creme Brulee' Wide, powdery green leaves with cream to white margins, sometimes showing a pink blush in strong light. Sometimes sold as Agave guiengola 'Marginata', but that name, being 'latinized' is not valid for a cultivar. A striking plant for pot culture or landscape. Protect from temperatures below 25° F. 3"

Agave parryi var. truncata Not quite as hardy as the other varieties, but makes a great pot subject. If kept out of the rain, it can take 15°F.   Young starts of the "Mescal Agave". 3" $3.50
