We know that the multitude of names for these plants can be very confusing. For that reason, we are continuing to use the Sulcorebutia names which give more clarity regarding the various forms. This is a small-headed, low growing, clumping species with mostly bicolored flowers. They may be orange, red or purple with a yellow throat, but the amount of red vs. yellow varies widely.
