Aloe polyphylla Schonl. ex Pillans
The wonderful Spiral Aloe from Lesotho, the plant develops a beautiful spiral shape with age. It's very hardy, reportedly to 15°F, but needs excellent drainage. Also known as "Kroonaalwyn" in Afrikans and "Lekhala kharatsa" in the Sesotho language. (These plants haven't yet developed their spiral shape but will do so with greater age. And it should be noted that, while younger, these plants aren't as hardy as they are when mature.)
